Har Ki Dun Trek 2025 - Get Itinerary, Dates & Safety, ReviewThe Har Ki Doon trek is a moderately challenging journey to a beautiful, sacred valley in Uttarakhand's Garhwal Himalayas, famous for its stunning alpine scenery, ancient forests, and rich cultural history linked to the epic Mahabharata. Starting from Sankri, the 43 km trail follows the Supin River, passing through charming villages like Osla, before ascending through meadows and pine forests to the valley itself, with its panoramic views of Swargarohini.
After breakfast pack up your luggage board coach and proceed for Sankri Hot lunch would be served. Thereafter journey continue. Arrive Sankri, Refreshment/dinner would be served Night stay in lodge/homestay/Guest house.
Wake up early in the morning to see the first sun light on Sankri. It is a small stretch of Bazaar and the adjacent village. After breakfast we prepare to start our trek. There is a motor able Kaccha road from Sankri to Gangar. We camping for the night.

After breakfast wind up your tents get ready down trek to Untigad. Moderate hike of about 6-7 kilometers will lead you to the same trail that leads to Osla village. Untigad’s campsite is distinguished by the sudden appearance of Bhojpatra trees and a dramatic change in terrain in comparison to the valley. Hot lunch would be served. dinner and overnight stay in tents at Untigard.
After breakfast walk begins early in the morning with a short rise to Ruinsara Lake, which is located at an elevation of 3600 metres. This forest in Bhoslo is the gateway to Ruinsara valley. When you come out of it, you enter another world. The river is now on your right — the Ruinsara Gad flowing down from the Ruinsara Tal. Packed lunch would be served. After lunch return back to Devsu Bughyal. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Today after breakfast we start our return journey toward Gangaad. It is a gentle descent along downstream till we reach the waterfall which remains frozen in winter. From here we climb up to Kalkatti Dhar and descend gradually to the vast crop field. Approaching the Seema bridge, we take the trail straight heading toward the village Osla, instead of directly going down to Seema.. Hot lunch would be served. evening time leisure on local market. Dinner and overnight stay in guest house.
